The Last House on Mulholland
This house operates as a location for photoshoots, entertainment and showcasing collectors items rather than being a venue just for living, it serves the requirements of today’s pop culture; the main driver for program. Mirrored walls reflect ‘HOLLYWOOD’, creating a backdrop for visitors ‘selfies’. Each space works to create a different setting for the purposes of entertainment and lifestyle as well as privacy for those temporarily inhabiting the space. Appropriation within the neighborhood was achieved through the subtlety of its texture and dense curvature. The house presents itself as an icon within the crevices of the Hollywood Hills, to become an attraction for those visiting Los Angeles.
